The equine body condition score helps horse owners to assess their horse's condition relative to a scale to determine if more or less nutrition is required. With an ideal score of 5, most horses today are kept at a higher score which is unhealthy as well as expensive. This video describes the score and how it can apply to your horse. Hello -

I'm glad you have this video on body score. It's a GREAT video. It has taken me two years to understand my two horses are about 75 pounds overweight. Shame on me. Yes, my vet told me many times as well. I was JUST like your video said; emotional feeding, yet I work out every day and take good care of myself...but killing my horses with overfeeding high protein hay. I didn't really feed too much grain, it was all from the fatty hay. I even have 10 acres of lush grass for only 2 horses and I was still feeding alfalfa; way too much of it at that! So, I just wanted to say thank you for your video. I made my commitment to their weightloss 7 days ago, but watching your video was great because it 100% said who I was before! It was like you wrote it for me! So, thank you! Have a great day!
